Answer: The rental includes use of the facility from 8am the morning prior until 1:30 am the night of the wedding.

Answer: Enough 8' banquet tables and chairs to seat what the buildings holds is included in the rental price. Additionally, we have several 60" round tables and 24" pub tables to be used in each facility.

Answer: Yes, we'd love to give you a tour! Our office is staffed Monday - Friday from 9-5pm or we can host tours by appointment on the weekends. Call to schedule at (563)927-6449.

Answer: We commonly stock several different beers, seltzers, pop and liquors to accommodate most weddings. Additionally, we are willing to special order different options to make your day special. You may host an open bar, free cocktail hour or completely cash bar....or we'll work with you on which combination best suits your day!

Answer: No, we are a registered alcohol facility through the state of Iowa and therefore, all pop and alcohol must go through the Delaware County Fairgrounds. Likewise, we must use bartenders who are trained and employed by the Fairgrounds.

Answer: No, we feel gratuity is earned. If you like the service you received, please feel free to include it at the end of the night.

Answer: Yes, you may use any caterer you'd like at any of the halls. The Beef Barn does not have a kitchen and the caterer you choose must be able to bring in food that is already hot and ready to serve.

Answer: Yes, a $200 deposit is required to hold the date. It is due at the time of contract signing but it does go back towards your rent.

Answer: The deposit is due at the time of reservation but then no other fees are due until the end of the reception. At that time, hall rent, clean up, bar, bartenders, linen rentals, etc will be due. We can split the fees out between different parties/families if requested.

Answer: You may hire any decorator you would like or decorate yourself. We only ask that you leave no scar behind to the building so no nails, staples, push pins, etc. Likewise, no duct tape, shipping tape or any adhesives that would rip up paint or floor sealants. Confetti is not prohibited but we ask you to keep it to a minimum and candles are welcome but must be placed inside a votive.

Answer: Yes, we have linens for banquet, round and pub tables. They are available for rent for $6/table and are available in white, black or navy.

Answer: While we don't have a specific area for weddings to occur, we do have many scenic areas to have your ceremony. We can assist with seating options too. Likewise, many couples have chosen to have their ceremonies right within the reception facility and that is permissible.

Answer: The fairgrounds has a really nice area for a casual rehearsal dinner at the Steer N Stein. This rustic setting is charming and can be complete with a caterer of your own choice or hire the Delaware County Cattlemen to grill some amazing steaks and leave the catering to us! Bar options including margaritas area available with this option.

Answer: The Pavilion and Community Center are both heated and air-conditioned. Therefore, they are available year around. The Beef Barn is neither heated nor air-conditioned and only rents from May 1st - the second weekend in October.

Answer: Yes, there is an additional clean up fee if the wedding would like the fairgrounds staff to clean up. If the family would like to put the building back the way they found it including wiping down tables and chairs, putting tables and chairs away and sweeping and spot mopping the floors, we will waive the fee.

Answer: Yes, the fairgrounds has a ton of space and great parking for each of the halls.

Answer: Yes, the fairgrounds has over 400 camping sites available with both electric and water hook ups. There is also a dump station on site. There is no need to have a reservation since so many sites are available. Family and guests may bring their campers on site the day of the event or stay the whole weekend. Speak to the camp host on site for parking recommendations based on the reception site.

Answer: Yes, each of the facilities has a ground level entrance and accessible restroom stalls.
